Guest guest
Hi all, I kept the title since I am in that position right now. My surgery is scheduled for the LapBand this Thursday May 26, 2011. I have never been operated so my first fear is not to wake up of course... ha!!! I read all of your stories and it sure is inspirational. Even when people do mention some type of complications they all say it's all worth it. I have not done any shopping yet for my post-op diet... I was not going to mesure myself but you do suggested so much that I will listen to your words of wisdom. I am so afraid this will not work for me. I had my thyroid gland removed 10 years ago and have been struggling with my weight since then. My metabolism is slower then it was, so I don't have to eat very large quantities of food to gain weight. I did go to a group session the other day, I was the only patient who didn't have the surgery done and the only ones saying that the surgery was not successful for them where ladies with serious food addiction. And to think of it if you eat one cup of caloric food every second hour day in day out, one doesn't loose.... I am going to do what ever I can to make it work. I sure hope I will able to write my very own success story in a year from now. Cheers Lyne
