Guest guest
I think your chances are very good. I had my surgery on Memorial Day last year (down 117 lbs - yea) and while I was there a gal was having a revision. Hers had already started eroding and Dr A was able to do it. Last time I talked to her she was doing very well. Good luck! I have become mildly consumed w/the possibility that once he takes my band off, that he won't be able to revise me. Does anyone know how often that happens?? I have had a swallow study, EGD, and chest xray in the last month. So, I know that my band isn't slipped or eroded. I have also been unfilled for a couple of weeks now and have had NO reflux or vomiting since being unfilled. However, this is my 2nd band (my 1st one kept falling apart, literally inside of me)..so, I am concerned about scar tissue. Any words of wisdom??? It's crazy to think that I will be leaving Oregon and be in Mexico in less that 48 hours. Thanks
Guest guest
I don't think I recall anyone ever posting that he couldn't revise them at all but I do have a friend that was banded by a Tijuana doctor and she had such a severe erosion he couldn't sleeve her in the same surgery, he had to put her stomach back together and let it heal first. You already know you don't have these problems so I would just do anything in your power not to vomit between now and your surgery so you don't slip and then you will be good to go! I'd love to come and visit you when you are in the hospital. is here as well.On Fri, May 27, 2011 at 6:22 PM, <crispene@...> wrote: I am having my band to sleeve revision this Monday, Memorial Day. Guest guest
I'm sure you'll be fine. Where in Oregon do you live? I'm in Bend (Central) Oregon. Had my surgery (virgin sleeve) in Aug. 2009, and lost 130 pounds; back up about 4 pounds but that's OK as I was getting too thin. Have faith; Dr. A is the miracle man! >> I am having my band to sleeve revision this Monday, Memorial Day.> I have become mildly consumed w/the possibility that once he takes> my band off, that he won't be able to revise me.> > Does anyone know how often that happens?? We go wine tasting up there. Hey, ya'll, I'm having cosmetic surgery (again) on Thursday, June 2nd, for a breast lift, etc. Send me prayers too.Love you all like my very own family. > > > > >> > >> > > I am having my band to sleeve revision this Monday, Memorial Day.> > > I have become mildly consumed w/the possibility that once he takes> > > my band off, that he won't be able to revise me.> > >> > > Does anyone know how often that happens??
