Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Someone made a statement that she had a friend who had Sleeve surgery and said her friend had not reached her goal and that her friend had gained weight. WLS is not a magical cure. You have to put effort into making it work for you. The fat will not just melt off of you. You need to make lifestyle changes. You can NO longer eat they way you used to eat. Without the changes in your food intake you are wasting your money NO matter what kind of WLS you have. It is the fault of the Sleeve, but it is the fault of the person who has not made the lifestyle changes in food and exercise. I never feel deprived. I eat healthy and I have small treats now and then, but not everyday and I have small or tiny amounts. Remember you were given the tool now it is up to you to make the tool work for you. Hugs, Suzanne Sleeved 10/28/2008 Lost a total of 105 pounds
Guest guest
Suzanne....That is assuming the sleeve was done correctly.I just had a friend here, she was getting plastics and recovered at my home in Mexicali. She had her sleeve done by a butcher of a surgeon, not Dr. Aceves. She has 3/4 of a sleeve. The top of her stomach wasn't touched. I can eat almost a half sandwich 3 years post op. She can eat three sandwiches 1 year post op. Dr, C did her upper GI, she doesn't have a proper sleeve. She's starting the regain now. ( She had surgery in Tijuana.
