Guest guest
Nexium can be taken twice a day, even as high as two pills twice a day if need be. The important thing is to titrate up the dosage until you are heartburn/pain free basically. Guest guest
Hi For me the Nexium just didn't work. So I now use Prilosec and it works so much better for me. You can get your Doctor to prescribe it and then your insurance will pay for it. It is a generic and it cost less that way vs. buying the OTC Prilosce. Or just buy one box of the OTC and see if it works better for you. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 9/26/2011 7:53:45 A.M. But ever since I started eating solid foods, 1.5 wks, breakfast and lunch go down fine, but by dinner when I eat I have intense pain in my stomach. Last night I took another nexium before dinner and I was fine. Today, I only took one this am, now its dinner and i'm back in pain again. Does anyone know if nexium can be taken 2 times a day? Got them in mexico so I can't read the directions. For those of you that nexium didn't work for, does this sound familiar?
Guest guest
I currently take 40 mg. of prilosec a day. Can you take whole pills after you are sleeved? What about vitamins. My multi & calcium are nothing short of horsepills. Vitamin D is small. Do you just quit taking them until you are healed? What about daily medications? Any info would be appreciated. THanks! Guest guest
Mouse: I have osteoporosis, so not taking calcium isn't an option for me. I bought a pill-crusher at Rite-Aid and now crush my 2 calcium tablets and 1 multivitamin into a greek yogurt that I eat daily. Jan > > > > Hi > > > > For me the Nexium just didn't work. Guest guest
I found a terrific liquid vitamin. I'm 16 months out and I still can't handle " horse " pills. I never had a problem with smaller pills tho - even at the very beginning. Cheryl* > > > > Hi > > > > For me the Nexium just didn't work. So I now use Prilosec and it works so > > much better for me. Guest guest
Hi, Yes, you can take the prilosec 40 mg, but you may not have a need for that much. For multi & Calcium. Try a chewable Vitiamin and chewable calcium. You should take you daily medication and check with your own doctor as you start losing weight. The doctor may run a blood panel on you and take you off some of your meds that you will not need. How I got my medication down because it was hard for me to swallow was to mash it into a power and put it in about 2 tablespoons of applesauce and that is how I took my medication for awhile, until I could swallow it on my own. I hope that helps. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 10/1/2011 11:41:08 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, themouse1960@... writes: I currently take 40 mg. of prilosec a day. Guest guest
For the first few weeks I disolved a nexium mumps is water. After about three weeks I could swallow it whole. For vitamines I use a chewable, a gummie and a liquid, all purchased from costco. I bought all three pre surgery to see which one worked best for me, all are ok so I just mix it up. Meds can be broke on halves or quarters and.swallowed pretty easily On Oct 1, 2011 11:41 PM, " themouse1960 " <themouse1960@...> wrote:> I currently take 40 mg. of prilosec a day.
