Guest guest
I'm so sorry about Christa.I think I might be able to put your mind at ease a bit. I too, am a nurse.May I call you? I think your situation deserves a phone conversation by another nurse vs. endless emails. I will email you privately with a phone number.252/150/140Highest, goal, currentBanded 12/06On Feb 6, 2008 12:59 PM, sauer_jes000 <sauer_jes000@...> wrote: My daughter Christa died 2 yrs after having the (open) gastric bypass in TJ in 2003. Then a rep from the loan company called us and said that the Monteray Dr. didnt want to sign some " forms " that we needed to have signed to be able to use the loan check. It sounded fishy to me but we didnt check in to it, we just went to Tijuana instead without checking into much. It was a beautiful facility and a very nice young doctor (gorgeous I might add) and a great staff. Everything seemed great till we got back home. So with all that said I cant believe that I am considering WLS for myself. I am a 53 year old registered nurse and I am 5'6 " tall and weigh 255. I am so tired of dieting. I tend to lose weight fast and have lost 50-75 pounds several times but I love food, I overeat if Im sad, happy, bored, whatever. Being on a low cal diet makes me feel cold and empty and why live? I have been monitoring your chat room for weeks and am considering the sleeve, does Dr Aceves do them? I have 2 insurance policies but they both only pay for the gastric bypass which I am terrified of. I dont want to have to travel to get fills all the time. So is the sleeve better for me? Please help.
Guest guest
Oh, jes, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. I see that you are in touch with Bipley. She can be a tremendous help to you. I wish you only the very best in your decision making. Neither the sleeve or the lapband are as dangerous and invasive as the by-pass. I know you will make the decision that is right for you. Whatever you decide, having Dr. A do your surgery is critical. He does all three surgeries and you would never be in better hands. All the best! C Tampa DOB 9-6-06 240/195/150 > > From: sauer_jes000@...> Date: Wed, 6 Feb 2008 19:59:27 +0000> Subject: Help!
