No, I have never had this problem at all. There has to be something going on and if it has been 6 weeks, I would call Dr. Aceves and talk with them. Or go see your own doctor. Could it be something mental that your head is doing to you. It is amazing what our brains will do to us. Can you get clear liquids to stay down?

Hi Everyone,So I am almost 6 weeks out. I HATE all food. I am never hungry and everything I eat makes me have the dry heaves. If I eat or drink anything the first hour after I get up I vomit. I even get the dry heaves from toothpaste. Has anyone experienced any of these problems? I am down 40 pounds from surgery. Thanks! B.

I actually had the same thing happen and ended up in the hosptital for a few days they never found what it was but I had an upper GI and one Dr said it looked their was swelling or something at the esophigus. Dr Aceves said that at some point they have needed to go in and stretch it then I went into the hosspital and they did some test where they went down my throat with a camera and didnt see anything wrong and after that I was better. Not what you wanted to hear Im sure but be sure to go to the Dr. My potassium was why off and I was dehydrated so be carefull and see your Dr

Hi

Nexium DID NOT work for me. I have had much better luck with Prilosec. You might give that a try.

Nexium worked fine for me but I could not afford it (insurance won't cover Nexium). I could run to Mexico to buy it but its too expensive there as well. So I switched to Prilosec and it works great. I read its $25 for 20 pills and you need THREE months worth. Why does he say Nexium over the others? I am pretty sure Dr. A recommends Nexium mups because they dissolve so easily.

Right after surgery you do not want to swallow pills--clear liquids only!! I

now live on prilosec 2 times a day and insurance pays all but the $10 copay

(generic prilosic --omeprazole)
