Dawnita: Best of luck with the surgery. We all want that skinny belly again! Keep us informed on the details and success of it. C Tampa

I just wanted you to know I really liked your post on the list this morning....it was insightful and informative for bandsters at any stage and you should save it and add it to the "files" on the webpage for Dr. A's patients to reference down the road. I love the help and encouragement I get, even vicariously from support groups and especially from the long term bandsters. One thing tho...once people are at goal, they do need to understand that they may need to increase their caloric intake a bit to maintain without getting TOO thin...and of course, that is also a concept that many WLS patients can't comprehend early on...you CAN get too thin. And that a lot of doctors recommend way more calories than ours...but I can also say that most of their patients do not lose as well or as consistently as I have seen with most of Dr A's patients...you MUST choose healthy to BECOME healthy...

Jessie Ahroni said on one of her support lists, something I have saved and posted on my computer, and on my refridgerator...."Failure often happens because we give up what we want MOST, for what we want NOW" In life and in our food choices...this is so true.

I still scan the digest about every day...but just am too busy to spend a lot of time online...sticking close to home today tho...we have about 5" of snow and it is coming down really heavy. I hit lapbandtalk occasionally, and I am on graduatebandsters and smartbandster lists too.

I am 3 WEEKS from my panniculectomy surgery. Getting a little nervous....but also looking forward to losing the "apron"...and I should be past my goal with the loss of skin as well. Hope all is well with you all!!BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob 240/130/125 5ft 3inches See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/
