Guest guest
Two weeks post op and I have lost 22 lbs. I am drinking 1-Isopure Shake [50 gm of protein] and one Isopure zero carb drink [40 gm of protein] and then I have been juicing 1-lemon + 1-lime w/ 1-pck of Stevia for an extra refreshing drink to complete the number of oz of liquid I need. I am finding I used to not like water/liquids thru the day, now I want it. When I first came come I had a TON of energy and laying down was the last thing I wanted to do. THEN because I was not using my stomach muscles and using my back more [keep in mind I broke my back + both ankles in a serious car accident 30 years ago that created weak points in my body] I pulled 7-ribs out of place. OUCH that hurt soooooo bad. THEN, I was down flat on my back feeling very weak and very sick for days. I have a great body-worker, he got the ribs popped back in place. So I am on Shakes through May 22nd, then I move to phase 3 of the diet. I honestly think this has been a breeze. I am aware of my old FOOD ADDICTIONS and I am just staying focused on the goal and remembering that the old way of eating got me into alot of trouble. My orthopedic doctor told me 30 years ago never to gain weight since my back, my body would not be able to sustain the weight. So now that it is coming off, it feels like my body is in a healing crisis--my stomach feels great, my incisions are almost healed up completely. When I went to my body worker because my ribs were affecting my lungs, we looked up LUNGS in Louise Hay's book: You can Heal your Life, and LUNGS represent GRIEF. That makes sense that your body would be in a state of GRIEF since you are giving up alot to get what you want. The PAIN was on the RIGHT side of the body, Louise says that is about LETTING GO. So this is the MIND-BODY connection and I think Louise Hay teaches us best. I use her book all of the time.
