Guest guest
Had the gastric sleeve Dec. 10th should I expect to be done for the most part at one year or is it typically longer. I have been very slow the last 4 months - maybe down 15 more lbs. I am probably eating more than I should, and more carbs/sweets than I should but I exercise alot and am pretty muscular. Someone had said, on this site, to double what you lost at about 3 months and that would be what you will lose for the most part. If so I would need to lose about 12 to 22 more lbs. Just wondering if that is the truth and how long I should expect that to take. also would like to hear some long term results...keeping it off okay? thanks lisa
Guest guest
, I had my surgery in June 2010 and I am continuing to drop weight although it is now extremely slow in coming off. But I feel SO MUCH BETTER that I really don't care! I am within 15 pounds of my goal now but even if I don't lose those last 15, I wouldn't change this for all the money in the world. I look and feel terrific. I'm sure I could kick up the weight loss if I worked my tool a little harder but I am so content that I pretty much eat whatever I want. What's funny is that I used to look at a plate of food and think " Is that going to fill me up? " and NOW I look at a plate of food and think " Oh my gosh - that's WAY too much food!!! " . The things I see other people eat now I think should feed 3 or 4... Cheryl
Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, LOL, I look at what other people eat and think--OH MY GOSH! I used to eat just like that. Sometimes it just overwhelms me in the amount of food they eat and that they serve people. I love the way my brain and stomach work together now. Hugs girlfriend! Guest guest
Thats funny aint it? I'm on the last day of mushies and we went to a mexican place for dinner. I ordered huevos rancheros and thet brought me a plate of food as big as the table. I think I may of had 5 bites and I was done. I think the waitress was insulted when I asked for a to-go box lol. I have food for a week from one order! Guest guest
LOL, I still get this 3 years later. Some places just know that I eat small amounts of food after 3 years of getting a to go box. You will find that sometimes they will also ask you if something is wrong with the food. I just say "NO it is delicious, but I ONLY eat small amounts of food. Thanks for asking." Enjoy you new life and all it is going to offer you. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 9/17/2011 7:12:13 P.M.
