Thanks, , for the encouragement! I was really

getting kinda down about it and wondered if it was “just me.”

Yeah, the liquid thing is pretty boring and no matter how much variety I try to

make, it isn’t very inspiring! Any suggestions on getting

more protein now, or just wait a few more days to add mushies? I

have also been doing liquid vitamins (from Costco) and they seem to help, but I’m

pretty much useless until the afternoon- I hate that feeling!

Thanks again- really good to hear I’m not the only one

took probably a month to pass and passed only when I could get my

protein in COMPLETELY which was at like a month. So, hang in there

girl! As far as food in your mouth, you should still be on liquids

and believe me, nothing on liquids tastes good after you have been

doing it 16 or so days! Just think, in four days, you move on to

mushies....mashed potatoes here you come! Keep the faith . It's

12 weeks excatly since my surgery and I'm done 50 pounds! 50 pounds

in three little months! Who'da thunk it!?!?!

I, too, felt tired for several weeks. I believe it is the body's response to the trauma of being under anesthesia. GerryFrom: andreaearlemccorkle <andreaearlemccorkle@...>Subject: Re: post -banding weakness, no energy Date: Monday, July 14, 2008, 11:31 AM

,

Just hang in there and keep taking it slowly. You are still healing and I remember feeling the exact same way. The first month I didn't get enough protein or have enough energy. I can say that liquid vitamins help. Even though you may not get the protein, try to drink enough to not get dehydrated. Also, restriction in the morning is very common. The tiredness will pass. I remember being impatient because I wanted to feel great now and not wait for it. The band is different than a lot of things we have learned about dieting in the past, like the calorie restriction. I'm very excited for you and it really sounds like you are at the right spot. Twelve pounds!

still plateaued and living vicariously though others losses

Hey everyone. I was banded on 6/28 and have already lost 12 lbs! But, I have a question…. I feel very restricted when I wake up in the morning and can’t seem to get much down. I am doing my best to get at least 60 grams of protein per day between protein powder shakes, protein shots, etc… but I feel very tired, lightheaded and have absolutely no energy. Am I expecting too much too soon? And, a weird thing is that although I do feel hungry and know my body needs SOMETHING when I try to eat, nothing tastes very good and I get uncomfortable very quickly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
