Guest guest
I use the honewell and make sure its a hepa filter. You do have to change the prefilters every so often and the hepas every year but I have them in every room of my house. They have discontinued some of the models but if you go to Airdelights.com you can find them. I tried an ionizer air cleaner and it affected me like the small ozone aircleaners. Like it wants to rip out my chest. Thats just me. Janet

Guest guest
I have several AllerAir machines in my house. If you have chemical sensitivities - they are they best. Besides being made of metal instead of plastic(like Honeywell), they even have a special MCS model (which I have in my bedroom): it uses different filters and glue. I used Allermed before getting these and I must say that Aller Air is much better. However, they are very expensive. I got mine thru NEEDS.com - very helpful people. I do open my windows for short periods of time when I can. However, outdoor pollens and molds are problematic for me -so I have to be careful. Having my air filters running 24/7 makes a big difference. Saralee Rosen homerose@... I'm afraid to take a breath where I live. I have the windows open all the time. I'm working on house but it isn't 'clean' yet. Pretty soon it will be too cold for the open windows, can anyone recommend an air cleaner. I don't like the idea of ozonator. I think it is good to clean out an empty room or area but I don't know if I feel comfortable with thought of them going all the time. I am thinking of hepa filter kind. I can't put one on my furnance since I am going to move next spring or hope to anyway so the cost wouldn't be reasonable. However I could put a room air purifier in my bedroom and also one in my home office. I know of the Honeywell. I've recently heard of the Health Pro. Is there anywhere where they are rated? Thanks
