Guest guest
So..... I'm ging to be sleeved on the 25th (My date just changed). I'm flying down from northern california, taking a few days off of nursing school (I have my BSN in December) and going to change my life forever. I'am more than just excited....I'm counting the days, I can't wait!!! However, I do get a little nervous whenever I think about the actual procedure itself. I never had a surgery! I've seen lots of laproscopic procedures during school (gallbladders etc)....there isn't all the blood and guts and cutting (just a little..lol). I was wondering who else is having it done on the 25th? You know, we're all lucky that we won't be involved with the candy on Halloween, I always find that time to be difficult for me, cute kids and candy always do me in But anyways, my wonderful boyfrind will be joining me in Mexacali, I was wondering, for those who bring partners with them, what is there for your significant other to do? My man is a bio-chemical enginner and I know that he is dying to visit the pharmacies (wants some weird body building stuff?). But other than that, what can he do besides sit by my bed side or study for the 3 days? Any suggestions? Does he have to go out and find food? I'm sure he won't be into sharing my " NPO status " or my " clear Liquid Only " protocol post-op So let me know if any of you are going on the 25th. I know that Dr. A is booked soild for the month of OCT. so I'm assuming that there are at least 3 of you out there who are going on the same day as me. Please contact me!!!! I want to know your names before I get there! Also, the costco premier shakes are only in choclate...YUCK...I'm not a choclate lover (or liker for that matter)...Can you get them in any other flavor? Also, the Gummy vitamins...No offense to them, they really are not enough to meet your body requirements...they're for little kids. Also, did you notice that they are missing quite a few things that you need? (I was looking at them yesterday). I would suggest finding a high quality liquid vitamin such as Trace Liquids Maxi Mulit by Trace Minerals one oz capful daily (30mls) http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/trace/maxi.html....I think it's pretty good. Plus you would want to take a chewable calcium supp. Also, there are these B-12 losenges that " melt in your mouth " ...yummy ....But they might really help those of you whom are defecient. Anyways...I hope all of you whom are awaiting a surgery and those of you who have had it done are excited/happy.... Helena
Guest guest
- Good Luck Helena on the 25th its going to be an awesome experience I went in August of this year and am doing great. My husband went with me and we had a great last meal together and went swimming in the pools, during the surgery days he ate at the restaurant downstairs in the hospital, and pretty much just hung out and took care of me. He watched some tv and loved me, which was awesome. If you have a laptop bring that for him that will give him something to do too. I really like the slim fast ready made low card diet IT HAS TO SAY THAT TOO OTHER WISE YOU GET THE ONE THAT SAYS HIGH PROTEIN BUT ALSO HAS HIGH CARBS so it says " low carb diet " on it and they have the main staples, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. I love them. Also the " emergen-C " packets that you mix with water has a multivitamin one now so I drink that too. Enjoy your new beginnings. Take care, DOB 8/19/08 189/161/135 then/now/goal 189/161/135 -- In , " classpassion " <classpassion@...> wrote: > > So..... > I'm ging to be sleeved on the 25th (My date just changed).
