I'm not gonna remember that schedule so can I just post a variety of things

everyday? I'll get bored with just one thing. Did someone give you this list,

moderator? Me and my friend owned a list like this last summer but then made a

new moderator. It was either or BathandBody. Huh. Oh well. Just

wondering. What kind of recipes do you guys want today? I'll put some hair stuff

out today later. bye for now.

You need to eat solids. One thing I do is I use my rice/veggie steamer to

steam chicken breasts and then I cut it up into small bites and add chicken

broth to make it nice and moist and juicy so it slides down a little easier.

Another thing I do is take really good lean hamburger (ground up steak) and

make a really good meat ball chunky soup by adding small chunks of carrots,

zukinnie (spelling) and other veggies I like throw in just a couple

potaoes add lots of chopped cilantro and chicken broth (chicken broth is my

friend) its wet enough to go down and yet solid enough to be very filling to

where about ½ cup fills me. Chicken chili is also very filling and high

protein .

Just some suggestions, I think you will hear from others

I just got to a good fill spot. I'm running out of things to eat.

Realize that, being Cajun, I'm accustomed to eating rice, rice and

more rice. That's what I know how to cook. I'm tired of eggs and

tuna and protein shakes. I haven't been able to eat much meat at

all... maybe a little at night. Can you blend up a steak and will it

go down? I feel as if I'm losing energy and I'm craving things with

protein... any thoughts?

Well, I've eaten enough great Cajun food to know that you really do

know how to cook other things.

Well, you can blend anything, but if you have a nice tender juicy

steak, you should have no problem taking a SMALL bite (no bigger than

dice if that big) and chewing it to mush, just like a blender would.

You should be able to get in sixty grams of protein a day. Unless

you're doing a LOT of exercise you don't need more.

mmmm... wonderful idea, ette. I guess I just have to learn how to

cook differently. That's OK... I love trying new things. Thanks for

the pointers.

Has anyone every used a food processor to grind up steak or something?

Sure. You can cut/grind/slice darn near anything in a food processor.

Crock pots, stews, and things like soft pot roast are ideal. Get a

good crockpot cookbook and experiment with good band foods. WE all had

a lot of new things to learn with banding - after all, it was what we

WERE doing that got us into weight trouble!

Soft white fish like talapia is also excellent, and there are lots of

ways to fix it.

If you're not too tight, you should be able to eat most things, as

long as they are moist and tender, and you start with tiny botes and

chew well. Just takes time and practice, in my experience.

I just got the lap band on aug. 19th and I wanted to print some good

clear liquid and full liquid recipies. Any ideas--? I'm only 5 days

in but my blood sugar is down to 150's without meds and my blood

pressure registers pre-hypertension already!! without any meds!! I've

given away 5+ pounds already. I have a lot of gas though and feel

bloated most of the time still? normal? goes away? I am excited for

this journey...Thanks for any responses----

, it took me two weeks to NOT feel bloated but the good news is,

I never have felt bloated since, even when it is that TOM. NOW THAT

has been liberating! I don't even know when my period's coming anymore

because I no longer cramp or bloat! HA!!! The gas also left and never

has come back after about two weeks. Now, I was RELIGIOUS about

sticking to the after surgery diet, so I wasn't eating much, and then

I had my first fill at six weeks exactly, and I still don't eat much

(again, following the diet) and I find with what I do eat, it is such

small portions my body has no time to bloat or pass gas.....it all

goes to nutrients! You're almost there! (one of them)
