You know...I have not posted much lately either...and I too, gained a few pounds over the holidays...but they are coming back off nicely, and it is like, 5 instead of 20...

I am scheduled for panniculectomy Feb 20, so I have to get back down before then. NO PROBLEM! I love the band...such a wonderful tool.

BUT..sometimes, when folks get a bit further in their journey (like me) we start taking the band for granted and not following the rules as diligently as we did at the beginning...and we need LOTS of support to get back on track.

That said, I have found 2 other groups on groups that I REALLY depend on for ongoing support and sharing. Smartbandsters and there is also one called gradbandsters for those who have been banded over 6 mos. There is a lot of crossover between the two, and both are partly moderated by Jessie Ahroni. She is an RN who wrote a book that some of you may have read, and has been banded now for about 9 yrs. She lives and works in Everett WA. I especially like smartbandsters and love watching how the "science and art" of banding and other wls surgeries has evolved even in the 2+ yrs I have now been banded.

My New Years resolution has been to take a good hard look at my eating habits...take responsibility for my health and wellbeing by exercising more, and improve my life by doing so. Not such a big order, really...I have already taken that biggest step!BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob 240/130/120 5ft 3inches See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/

Just wanted to add something to your post, Dawnita.

Folks will want to make sure not to confuse SmartBandsters with

smartERbandsters. There is a nurse that has been banned from just

about every band board out there (except OH) including SmartBandsters.

She was banned for bad advice, poor behaviors, not being a real nurse

(license revoked in two states, etc), and when she was asked to leave

SmartBandsters she started SmartERbandsters. Another group.

It's heavily moderated and anything that doesn't go along with her way

of thinking won't pass the moderation phase so the problem is that

misinformation is not corrected.

Just want to make sure nobody confuses the two, I'd hate to see bad

advice given and someone actually think it was correct and take that

advice.
