Cyrena! That is just so way too funny. I had a funny NSV today too. I went for a massage and when I met the therapist and shook her hands. She left the room while I undressed and got on her table. While she was working on me we were discussing weight loss and exercise programs...all the stuff women talk about. She tells me what she weighs and I tell her we are the same weight. She says, "Really, but you are about 5'11" tall, right?" I laughed and said, "no way, whatever makes you think that, I'm only 5'7." She then said: "But you looked so tall when you stood up to meet me." Ladies (and guys) I was in a pair of flat shoes today. She explained that she thought I was taller because I looked so ----drumroll, please----T-H-I-N!!!! Is that a kick in the pants or what? We both had a really good laugh over that. Let me just say that I felt 5'11" tall when I left that place...and I think I'll go back, too! C Tampa

Cyrena, I'm curious...did you smile? laugh? HUG HER????? I love it when people say things like that, don't you? I had on a dress the other day at a school function (with other teachers from other schools). A lady who has only known me for the last year told me how much she loved my dress...that it was so cute, blah blah blah. She was dying to know where I bought it so I told her that I had become a PROFESSIONAL thrift store shopper and that I purchased it for less that $2.00 at America's Thrift Store. She said, "Tiny people like you are always able to find the cutest clothes in thrift stores! Normal people like me can never find anything!!" Tiny people....TINY PEOPLE!!! My god! She was talking to me!!! Another incident...I got a bracelet for Christmas. It was too big and I was afraid it might slip off my hand or something so I took it back to the jewelry

store to be sized properly. The lady who sized it said, "My, you do have tiny little wrists, don't you? We need to cut at least 1.5 inches off of this!" She kind of smiled and looked at me and said, "Oh, if only I could be your size! How in the world have you stayed so small all your life???" If I had not been afraid that she would have thought I was trying to rob the store, I would have jumped right over the counter and given her the biggest hug! My response was, "Oh, it hasn't been nearly as easy as you think!" I didn't want to get into the whole WLS story with her at that time. I'm learning to not get so obviously giddy when I hear comments such as this. I have to remind myself that people now see me as a little, small person rather than Ten Ton Tilly! However, there are still times when I think everyone turns and stares when I walk into a room because they are astonished and disgusted that someone has allowed

themselves to get so fat! The mind is a crazy thing, isn't it? Have a great day! Had I only known, hugging the woman who is asking me interview questions about having sex with anyone who has ever had sex with someone who has done IV street drugs, is appropriate, I would have been ALL OVER HER!! LOLI love your stories too. How great that people have no idea the struggles we have gone through to get to this point! We just look like content skinny people. HA If they only knew, huh?!?Last night I went to a movie with my teenage son and a couple of his friends, another set of parents were there too. When I introduced myself to this mom she was very snippy and trying to tell me all she does for her kids, on and on. After we left, I thought she is strange but whatever, we are all made with different personality. My teenage told me

I'm the perfect mom when we were discussing it afterwards and my husband said, "couldn't you tell the way she was looking at you, she was jealous of how beauitful you are". I know that is what kids and husbands are supposed to say to us, but man did it feel good! :)I hit my second goal today of 145lbs! I'm so excited! Congrats on all you have accomplished and thanks for sharing! Cyrena 240/145/150second goal 145lbsDOB: 1/19/07
