Guest guest
Just thought I'd mention another supplement that has a great affect on mood and energy levels. I have noticed it works much quicker that St. 's Wart. 5-HTP, I would suggest you take 50-100mg b4 bed and within a week you may feel some results. Also, be careful of " energy supplements " or too much caffine, they can backlash and cause horrible faigue like you are experiencing... Guest guest
I had my sleeve done on 5/3/11 and am doing quite well. I am very happy I had the surgery and have had very few problems. My only problem is I am getting exceedingly tired. I take my vitamins and B-12 daily. I just feel so worn out. I am getting enough protein through my shakes. I drink 2-3 daily, just enough to satisfy my 60 grams of protein and I have found a number of different kind that I really like. I am now on regular food and am doing ok with that also. I might not be eating enough food, but I am eating fish, chicken, veggies and a fruits. I also am exercising 4-5 days a week. I just can't figure out what I am missing that is making me so worn out. I am tired within an hour of getting up. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to increase my energy? NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY LOOKS. Guest guest
Hi Darcey, For me its dehydration; not enough liquid- That is why I get really weak. That and the fact I don't get enough nutrition-protein. I take my vitamins too but find myself not eating enough protein. i have learned to carry a gatorade everywhere I go. that helps for me. Guest guest
Jana, Thank you for responding and your suggestion. I'll try the Gatorade thing. You are probably right about not eating enough protein too. Thank you, Darcey > > > > > Hi Darcey, > > For me its dehydration; not enough liquid- That is why I get really weak. Guest guest
Darcey, Honey, you just had MAJOR SURGERY a little over a month ago! Of COURSE you're still wiped out! If you had gone through open heart surgery, you wouldn't expect to have any energy at this point in your recovery. Get your PCP to run a full panel to check all your vitamin levels, just in case. Besides, it never hurts to know where you are. Stay hydrated. But it sounds like you are doing everything right. Have a little patience with your body and give yourself time to heal. It took me 6 months to recover from heart surgery and about 4 months to feel totally " normal " after my sleeve. -- Cheryl My Best Friend's Bowl Premium Nutrition for Your Pet's Optimum Health www.mybestfriendsbowl.comQuality AKC Chihuahuas from Champion Bloodlineswww.campchihuahua.com The dog-watchers need a watchdog.Let's keep the Humane Society of the United States HONEST.Join the discussion:www.humanewatch.org
Guest guest
Hi Darcy, I didn't feel strong for many months after my surgery. That was a bit of an issue for me, but so worth the trade off. I felt that I could work my way back to feeling strong again. My surgery was November 21 and 2 weeks ago we went on a very strenuous mountain hike that was 4.5 miles and I did awesome. It felt good and I was so happy that my body was strong enough to do it. Just let your body heal. It will and you will get there. Have you considered if you are burning through your protein with the exercise? Just a thought. I know I need more the more active I am. Also, if I don't get enough fluid, I feel really run down the next day. Sheri > > I had my sleeve done on 5/3/11 and am doing quite well. Guest guest
Thank you Sheri think it may be a combination of not enough liquids and not getting enough protein/nutrition for working out. Since I posted this and I received all kinds of helpful advice, I have been trying to drink more protein and hydrate more also. I think it is a bit better yesterday and today. I am such an instant satisfaction person, LOL. Best regards, Darcey > > > > I had my sleeve done on 5/3/11 and am doing quite well.
