This is my first message...I joined this week because quite frankly I

don't have anyone to talk to who will listen to me. I just moved

here to CA in July and have been getting sicker ever since. I have

had allergies in the past and am also prone to respiratory

infections. However, I now have a cough that will not go away, sore

throat & chest pains, I'm exhausted & short of breath, I can't

remember the last time I did not have a headache and my muscles &

joints ache so badly I feel like I'm almost to the point of

paralysis. I have chills, shakes and severe night sweats. I have

also experienced strange rashes, as well as acne which I have never

had before. I'm only 27 years old and these symptoms are

progressively getting worse. I noticed some water damage in the

bathroom and brought it up but was told it had been taken care

of...in late August, our bathroom flooded. The landlord supoosedly

fixed the problem but we continued to find water in the same area. I

can see the mold in the floor tiles in that area and there is a

visible crack in the wall as well as bubbling paint where you can see

the moisture has taken it's toll. The baseboards are warped and

pulling away from the wall but no one will acknowledge there is a

presence of mold! This is causing a point of contention in my

relationship especiallt since I always feel worse when I'm in the

house...it's literally making me sick and no one will listen!

I need to find a doctor in the area that will not just write me off

as having a cold...I need to know what is causing this and if it is

in fact related to the exposure to the mold in my home. I think me

getting tested will be the only way to show anyone a correlation

between my progressively worse health problems and the growth of the

mold problem. Can anyone suggest a physician in the Los Angeles or

San Valley area? I could really use some help.

Thank you.

Bea
