Hey guys,I'm six weeks out of surgery and I've lost 20 pounds, but I've recently gained one or two back. I think it is time for a fill.but I know I haven't been getting enough protein. It is hard for me to drink a lot becasue I teach and I can't always leavewhenever I need to. I've been researching and found a new company that specializes in lap band and by pass protein shots.I just wanted some feed back before I ordered. Please let me know what you think about this site. http://freshstartprotein.com/Each shot has 42 grams of protein and 134 calories. The guy said he would give any of us intersted a free sample. This is my email from him:Hello , #1. We

would be happy to send you and your friends a sample on the house. We are more than confident you will find Fresh Start to be not only the best tasting, but most convenient and best for you. Diabetes was the #1 reason for me getting banded. I ended up with gestational diabetes when I was pregnant 4 yrs ago. I hated it, I was doing injections 4x a day, I was on a very rigid diet that entailed eating lunch meat for breakfast at 7am UGH. I don't want to live

that way. After gestational diabetes a person has an 80% chance of developing it for life w/in 5 yrs. Again, not for me. I'm sure seeing people so close to you have all those issues is life changing. Believe me, lapband will be life changing too!! Congrats on your decision! My suggestions for travel is.. comfy pjs, packets of broth, heating pad, slip on shoes. I wore the same clothes to the hospital as I wore home, well, new undies :) Also, any book by Francine Rivers, but I highly suggest Redeeming Love. Great way to pass the time! :) Let us know if you have any other questions :) Good luck!! Cyrena Weeks240/140/145start/current/goalDOB: 1/19/07www.cyrenaweeks.blogspot.com New here Hi everyone! My name is Penny and I'm new here. I've been overweight since I was 10 years old. I've tried many times to loose weight- sometimes succeeded, sometimes not- but the weight just kept climbing. I'm divorced, and a single mom with 4 children. I saw the commercials for the lap band a year ago and have been thinking about having the surgery. What finally made up my mind to have it done? I lost my Dad 2 years ago from complications due to diabetes. He went into renal failure. And this year my sister has been in and out of the hospital because of cellulitis due to her diabetes. Plus her kidney function is down too. I don't have diabetes yet- and I

don't want it! I want to get healthy. I want to see my kids grow up. I want to be able to play with them, and enjoy them while they're young.I've decided to take control of my weight instead of letting it control me.I started to investigate the surgery, and found out that my insurence doesn't cover WLS. I tried to get financing, and I got some, but not enough for the US. I was about to give up. Then I received an email from Dr. Aceves. I contacted them, and I'm soo glad that I did. They have been wonderful!I am having surgery on May 10th.I have no doubts or fears about going down there for my surgery. I'm flying to San Diego from Spokane, Wa. This will be the first time that I've been out of the country. So this is a total adventure for me.I'm excited that I'm getting the band, but not really nervous- yet. (The night befor surgery I'll probably be a nervous wreck.)I'm trying to figure out what I need to take

with me to entertain myself for the couple of days in the hospital before I come home.(I'll be alone) Any suggestions? I love to read, so I'll bring some books, plus I'll probably bring some of my homework too. (I'm a college student)Does anyone have any suggestions for this, or about anything that will make my recovery and flight home more comfortable? Thanks in advance.Penny in Spokane285/277/130. ..someday

The only problem I see with this (in a very fast overview) is that your body only can use 25-30 grams of protein at a time. The rest would be wasted, unless you only used a 1/2 portion at a time. you have to go to the web site for the sample.debil7777 <debil7777@...> wrote: I just tried to email this company for a free sample but got this error msg: Invalid query: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near at line 1. I was banded on the 17th and have been using Unjury protein powder, which I highly recommend. 20 grams of Protein to a spoop. Tasted good with water, but now even better with milk. ...but I am never

I did that same thing, got the same error. Hit the back button and look in your text. If there are apostrophes (conractions, etc) it won't take it. You have to spell the two words out. Did this and mine went through.
