Guest guest
Hi, My parents are retiring and are looking for a home to move to. One option they mentioned to me was buying a prefabricated home or a double wide mobile home. This concerns me because I wouldn't think that the building materials would be very good and I am wondering about mold growth in the building materials and the formaldehyde in some of the products that would be used to make these less expensive homes. Does anyone have any input concerning this? I would be grateful for any information. God Bless, ML
Guest guest
We have had a very negative experience with a manufactured home. ALL of the plumbing within the walls of the home were not even up to code. We had water leaks everywhere there was a plumbing connection. 7 months later we had to evacuate our home and leave all of our belongings behine. I was 7 pregnant the entire time we lived in the home. Our son was born with horrible problems and defects. Our other son's colon stopped working. We had a wonderful manufacturers warranty. It was useless. We are nearing the end of a four year lawsuit. So far, the manufacturer has offered us $1000. Yes, you read that right. Our case goes to a jury trial in October of this year.
