Popcorn itself, isn't bad for you. But if you eat the large popcorn with 'butter' added at the movie theatre, you will indeed consume 1700 calories. But, popcorn with a little real butter (in the amts any of us can eat now) is not at all bad...just "chew, chew, chew"

I just saw on Dr. Oz that buttered popcorn has 1,700 calories! Plus think of all that fat, cant be good for your heart. I would stop eating it for that reason alone!

Re: Question

Hi Guys,I do not recall ever hearing I can not have popcorn! I eat it everyday! It is one of my staples. I have not had any problems at all. I am coming up on my 8 month surgiversary. I am down 113 pounds. Started at 282 and just weighed in at 169. Now I am nervous...should I quit my popcorn addiction??
