Hi Gail,

You are just a special person with a big

sense of humor. I love reading your last notepad, you make me LOL.

You know, I haven’t even thought

about it before. I would really love to register his name on her list J

Then let's do it! He does have a good job lined up, doesn't he? LOL

I appreciate the compliment on my sense of humor. I think I learned that from my

dad. He had Multiple Sclerosis and whenever he had to go to the hospital, he

would have all the nurses cracking up. It is basically a " family trait " in that

the more nervous we are, the more we make " stupid or wise a$$ " comments. My dad

passed away a year and a half ago, and I can still hear him when I make some

lame joke to cover up my nervousness. I miss him!

I would love to see a pic of your little guy. 's pics are in a file at the

groups' page.

Hi Gail

So far, so good. Minimal sides. Just some flu like aches

and pains once in awhile. Drinking lots of water and have lost about 20

lbs so far. That is a nice side! Not much change in my activity level. It

is nice to get a nap in the afternoon sometimes.

Tx is not that bad, if you follow the Dr's instructions.

I do what I can do and, if not, it will wait for tomorrow.

Thank you sooo much for your info, I'm at this point sure about the

sleeve for myself, one time surgery, and no fills, no more traveling

and spending more money for doctor visits. I'm hook line and sinker.

I'll keep you posted, have a great day!!!

their research and still decided to go to Mexico. I am still in the

decision stage--still not sure if I am a candidate for the band. (low

end BMI). The more and more I read on this discussion board, the more

and more I think that if this is something I decide to do---I will

choose Dr. Aceves.

>

> The few people I have confided in re: banding have responded with

shock and " you do not need that " . What they fail to see is, at age of

36 my grandfather died of a heart attack. My mother have her first

heart attack at age 40, first bypass age 45. Both my parents are

diabetic. I have put on 25+ pounds in one year. I am now 36--have

done the gain and lose 30lbs three times--and I know I can not do

that forever. All of the older women on my dad's side are 250lbs+. I

know where I am headed. So for me---I am thinking it is the best

option.

>

> If I get banded and loose the weight---can they loosen it up to

keep me from getting too skinny? I really need to loose 40lb-45lbs

and that is pushing it. So do I do it now, or wait til next year when

I have gained another 25lbs and do it then?
