Guest guest
im having trouble quitting smoking and my surgery is a week away- what if i cant quit? here is my lil story- i smoked up until july 11th...quit for 17 days and me and my fiance were going to break up- i was verbally abusive and i hated him...the thing was- he wasnt doing anything wrong...i started up again, promising myself that i would only have 3 a day...well now i am up to about 8 a day! it wont get any worse than this but i need to know if i smoke just a couple up until the day of my surgery, what will it effect?- i know that it will slow healing AFTER my surgery but im really scared of the " during and directly after " surgery part...will my lung collapse?, will i " lose my breath " in the surgery process and die? ok ok i have a million questions but these are the most important in my mind right now. can anybody tell me what you are supposed to have two weeks before surgery and what NOT to have, and what about the day before? i know i should be asking my doctor these things but id rather ask people " out of a professional stand-point " ...any doctor i talk to will def tell me to quit smoking-duh...but what about the people like me who are having alot of trouble with it and are going nuts thinking about it? help!
