Guest guest
Hi , What city are you in? There are a number of choices. I think we have more choices than a lot of areas in the US. If you are Portland/Vancouver way, there is Fitzpatrick. She works out of Eugene with some hours in her Portland office. She is reasonably priced ($125) and knowledgeable. The Puget Sound area there is Dr. Neal (Shelton, I think)l, Dr. Fox (Tacoma), Dr Chablis (Seattle), or Dr. Oh (Federal Way, $195, 253-275-6030). I use Dr. Oh and I find him quite informed, even more lapband minded than say a year ago. His bedside manner is a bit stiff at times, but he's only poked me once each of my 3 fills. I've never talked him into more fill than he's thought necessary. I keep thinking " more is better " and that is not always the best thinking regarding fills. I'm thinking you'll get even more names to choose from. Good luck. I used Dr. Kuri, too. Ain't he a nice guy? Robin _____ I am interested in finding a local Dr. that I can access perhaps a nutritionist or counselor or? Thanks,
Guest guest
I just called Dr. Oh's office. He wants $400 the first fill and $250 each fill thereafter, at least for those who had the LB in Mexico. Joan From: " ~ Robin " | choices than a lot of areas in the US. Guest guest
Yipes stripes Joan! I'm giving out bum information. I paid $195 two weeks ago for my fill. I must be getting a different rate due to my particular history with him. I didn't realize it. I had all the pre surgery testing with him and 4 days before surgery I cancelled due to a dispute with St. Francis Hospital. Within a month, I was banded by Dr. Kuri in Mexico, and two weeks after banding, Dr. Oh removed my gallbladder. He was charging Mexican fills for $350 at that time (11/04), and then he drastically reduced all his surgery and related fees a few months later. I read on his website that he was charging $100 for a fill to his surgery patients so when I was charged $195 I assumed it was the Mexican fill price. Boy, that's a lesson on " assuming, " ya think? I'm sorry passing the bum information along. ~Robin Re: fill Dr. I just called Dr. Oh's office. Guest guest
I'm really surprised that is the price now. I too thought that he was still only $195 for a fill. I am one of his patients so I'm sure I get the lower rate and thankfully I have insurance that is willing to pay 80% of it. I was very blessed!
