Guest guest
I had the sleeve also. And I must tell you it is an abolute MUST to take isopure while you are on a liquid diet. I went to Kroger and got their flavorless genisoy ,absolute tasteless and you can put it in the chickenbioth or after you advance to other liquids than clear, you can put it in tomatojuice, no limit what you can try. It helped me and the weakness feeling does dissipateGood luck christa --- kaupairgirl <kaupairgirl@...> wrote: > Ok so I had my surgery done on april 1st! Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear this. I will be having the sleeve on the 11th so I can't help you. However, I suspect I will soon be in the same boat. Please keep me posted. Can you give me some information about the surgery. How long did it take, did it hurt, how long did you actually stay in the hospital and did you drive or fly home? Anything else you can include that may be helpful? Good luck kaupairgirl <kaupairgirl@...> wrote: Ok so I had my surgery done on april 1st! Guest guest
I use to work for a Bariactric Doctor when Phen-fen was popular and when his patients complained about nightmares at night ( and there was a lot of them) he would tell them to eat a small amount of fruit & some protein right before they went to bed. His take on this was that during the night your blood sugar was dropping to low and that would cause the nightmares. Don't know how true but it always seemed to work for our patients. Bobo I am Sleeved now!!! But I am sooooooooooooooooo weak! Ok so I had my surgery done on april 1st! Guest guest
Only thing is during clear liquids she wouldn't be able to eat fruit. How about Propel water? It has just enough sugar to increase blood sugar just a bit but not enough to cause the huge blood sugar spikes that cause hunger. Guest guest
Karla, You need to take Iron. You are getting animic. You also have to keep moving and build up your strength. I know it's hard but that's the only way to get to where you want to be--slim and trim. I took extra iron as I have a prolem with being animic also. Hope this helps. Guest guest
If someone had surgery 4/1/08 it would not be wise to take iron. That is very hard on a newly healing stomach. I wouldn't even venture a guess when someone can take iron supplements after a sleeve procedure, we'd have to talk to Dr. Aceves about that. I would imagine it won't be in the next few weeks. A feeling of weakness immediately after this surgery sounds more likely to be a blood sugar issue. I'd suggest Propel water at this stage of the game. It would require a blood test to determine anemia. On Mon, Apr 7, 2008 at 8:14 PM, Mercer <diamercer@...> wrote: Karla, You need to take Iron. You are getting animic.
