It's awesome isn't it? You'll get a very nice certificate in the

mail too for completing it. Good job!

Congratulations. That's a wonderful accomplishment.

I remember confirming mine once and for all by using the word to the

doc, who didn't contradict it, simply said that no he thought the pain

was more disc related, although he did look rather pained at it's use

and seemed to prefer that I refer to it as fixed sagittal imbalance -

technically more correct in my case anyway, because I had

non-harrington rods and what with the fused thoracolumbar kyphosis and

the compensatory thoracic lordosis, it wasn't very flat ;o)

Seriously though, I really wish they would just tell you things, it's

enough to drive a person mad at times.

It seems he had no intention of sharing as the visit where he

recorded this little detail was in January of 2003! The one

beautiful thing that has come of my annoying insurance changes

lately...I had to find a new doctor. ;o)

Thank you, too, for the info. about work. I am a state employee, so

it was pertinent. I still need to get over to the benefits office

and ask a lot of questions! Is there an FAQ or other resource on the

topic of insurance, etc. as well?

Kam,

I guess stuff happens for a reason....but you do wonder.

I think if you are interested in finding anything out particular to

your situation I would advise you to post your question on insurance

and your home state and see if someone has a similar work situation.

With close to 500 members you might hear from someone similarly

situated. Clearly a lot more people read than regularly post!

There is no FAQs for insurance. Keep pluggin' away, Cam

Please take the time to e-mail MTP and thank them for airing this

debate. I also sent a few sample questions for Dr. Fineberg. Not

going to put them here in case someone from IOM comes here to do

some prep work.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my surgery Sept 28/10 7 and 1/2

months ago at a starting weight of 320lbs as of today I am officially in the

100's for the first time in a very long time. I am down 123lbs in 7 1/2

months...Holy crap I never thought this was possible and I feel like I am in my

20's. I have less than 60lbs left to my goal of 140lbs. I went shopping at The

Gap for the first time in my life and bought a pair of skinny pants, what a

feeling. I have gone from a size 30 to 32 to a size 14 in 7 and a half months,

unbeleiveable... I love Dr. A for helping me transform my life into this...Thank

you Thank you....I just got back from Disney World where I went on every

waterslide and climbed the stairs up to each and everyone. I have more energy

than I know what to do with sometimes and can't beleive how fit I have become. I

workout 4 times a week and have bought a bike and trailer to pull my girl around

in this summer and can't wait to go on those long bike rides with her.

Thank you for the new outlook and the new life...Thanks Dr. A.....
