Guest guest
Hi Trish, So happy to help in anyway. I have the VG band too and it does take more fills to get there, but if you eat your protein and veggies first, you should be okay. I fail into the mushies, cuz I was just hungary or so I thought. Believe it or not, the head hunger is just too much sometimes, actually we can live on very little food. I love food and have found that after chewing and chewing then chewing more on the protein, takes up some time and then my head gets the message, sometimes. It's a hard journey at times, but with this tool we can get there and we are all here to help if we can. I found some turkey jerky, that I chewed on forever on the days, that the hunger just wouldn't go away. I was concerned about the salt, but thought it was the lesser of the 2 evils ~salt or sugar~ for me anyways. I also boiled eggs used them in salads and soup for added protein. I was a sugar addict before the band and still have issues at times. Like I said before it's a new day every day with the band. What you could eat yesterday may not agree today. I love my band. It's a wonderful tool if we to use it. I had 7.8cc in my band a couple of weeks ago, then I got sick and had 2cc taken out and now am much better. I have found that when I can eat properly I lose weight, if I'm too tight I don't. Sorry for the rambling. Hope this helps in some way.
