With about 30 per cent of kids under two not being fully immunised, this means there's a big pool of children susceptible to diseases that they can pass on to others. Nine Australian children died of whooping cough in 1996-97. Anti-immunisationists are a deadly serious problem. >> All I have to say on this disgusting, disrespectful article has to do with the above quote. If vaccinations were effective, and 30% of children are not vaccinated - then those 30% of children should be the only ones to come down with the illness. What others are they going to pass it on to? Guest guest
Were the 9 children who died immunized " against " pertussis? What a terrible article. Statistics sure can persuade / lie. You're right: if vaccinations are the answer, and you are worried about " catching " a disease, then get vaccinated and you should be okay, right? So who would have to worry about becoming infected? What was the cause of the whooping cough outbreak? Are they certain that someone recently vaccinated might not have passed it on?
Guest guest
News Article > From: " Mom2Q " <mom2q@...> > > > > > by Simon Chapman > > " But consider this: 600,000 children are vaccinated for MMR each year in > Britain in the second and third years of life. The annual incidence of > autism is 61/100,000 children. Well, consider this Simon Chapman. I am a school nurse and in our district we have 6 children in an elementary of 300 that have forms of Autism (ALL IMMUNIZED) And one of our Autistic children is now medically exempt from MMR with the doctor citing that the Autism was caused by the first immunization. That is a 1:50 ratio and we had 2 cases of mumps this last school year in the high school and guess what? again, both kids were fully immunized. Guest guest
Hi everyone, There has been news lately about a woman in Nova Scotia who is complaining about the wait times for WLS in her province. It's 10 years. She weighs 370 pounds. She received a lot of publicity because along with the article, she wrote her own obit. I know it will sound mean, but listening to the interview today and reading the article (it's been published in all major newspapers), it doesn't sound like she's ever committed to changing her lifestyle. In fact she blamed her obesity on poverty. She's been offered the surgery and airfare for free by Dr. de la Ponce. My husband and I were discussing this and if we were in dire straits and financing was not an option; we would have held fundraising events to raise the money needed for surgery. Anyways, I just wanted to get your thoughts on the issue. What would you do in this case?
Guest guest
Hi, I hear what you are saying because I know how MUCH you have CHANGED YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. It is hard to sit and listen to someone who gets that kind of attention and an offer for FREE surgery. I know that you have done this all on your very own. I am so very proud of you. I know when I am tired because I worked all day in the yard and I know I need to go exercise, I just want to sit sometimes on my butt and not move at all, but that isn't going to change what I know IS RIGHT for me. Keep doing what you are doing girl. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 8/9/2011 4:13:53 P.M. Guest guest
There are some doctors who do the right thing for the wrong reasons, merely to serve their own purposes. The doctor you refer to works for Betancourt/Almanza. All I'm going to say is they are an extremely dangerous group in my opinion. This is advertising for them, nothing more. There is no compassion here for a lady in Canada, it's all advertising they are taking advantage of. I sincerely hope she survives. I have pages and pages of posts for examples. I'll send them to anyone who wants them. Their most recent death was just a few months ago, a lady from Canada.
