Guest guest
Hi Blake. As you can see from Greg Weathermans post (You don't need a " Weatherman " to see which way the MVOC's blow), people who do their own remediation are often their own worst enemy. I know we sound like a buncha hysterical crazies here, that's why I call myself " The StacHysterian " . But believe you me - we've been there and done it! First of all, immune compromised people should NEVER undertake ANY mold remediation at all. Ask about this. Second, full containment and HazMat procedures must be used or the environment can be rendered unsuitable for habitation for a sensitized individual. Third, even if the remediation is successful, your possessions may be already so contaminated that they can be a driving force in continued illness. The best way to determine this is to flee. Take a vacation for a week. Don't take anything with you. See how you feel. Then, if you improve, try sleeping in close proximity to something that you brought out of the house. If you relapse, then you know. No matter what any doctor tries to tell you. -

Guest guest
Dear list, I have just joined. I have a number of post-virally induced health problems (fatigue, sleep problems, reduced memory, etc) and have also had inhalant allergies (dust mites, cat hair, etc) all my life. Since moving into a new house 4 months ago I have been feeling much worse despite being in a much less polluted area. I suspect indoor pollution is a significant factor here. My bathroom is covered in mold. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to remove this mold? Regards, Blake Graham Perth, Western Australia
