Guest guest
Dear Greg, I suggest you check with your contacts at EPA.. Here's what I've found: 1.. Today the FIFRA controls only pesticides.. 2.. Today the Clean Air Act people [who are different from the FIFRA people] responds within EPA to all questions about mold and indoor air pollution. 3.. Hydrogen peroxide and salt may be freely used indoors to combat mold without regard to EPA approval or certification. 4.. If you've been told that FIFRA applies as you've suggested than you've most likely run into EPA folks from FIFRA that are not aware their Clean Air counterparts are now in charge of indoor mold problems... I'm of the opinion the EPA is trying to get their act together but suffer from a bit of confusion and internal conflicts.. The FDA regualtes GRAS list items such as over the counter medicines. A homeowner can use hydrogen peroxide anyway they see fit but, FIFRA applies to any commercial or for pay concern with environmental surfaces. Regards, Greg Weatherman aerobioLogical Solutions Inc.
