Decided on RNY gastric bypass

I would like to get information from anyone who had a RNY gastric bypass from

Dr. Aceves. The reason why I choose the RNY (with the help of Dr. A) is because

of my diabetes. Only the RNY can " cure " the diabetes.

I would like to know how long ago you had surgery, how much you started out

with, how much you lost, the surgery, pre and post op and the ongoing journey

post bypass. I am sorry I am asking for a lot.

My biggest concern is complications. I have been denied 3 times by my

insurance. If I have any complications, they will not be covered.

I read only the great and wonderful things...what about the other side of the

story?
