Guest guest
I was introduced to the VSG from a woman I met from Morocco. She had her surgery in France by one of the best surgeons -- she said. She showed me her tummy about 12-months post op and her scars were huge!! I would not consider that the BEST. I am 10 days out of surgery, I have lost 19 lbs and my scars are going to be no wider than a pencil eraser. I had absolute NO bruising, no pain and when I woke up, I did not even think I had had surgery. Now some of that was the drugs--but this has been effortless for me and I attribute that to working with the BEST of the BEST. I also want to thank the nurse who drew my blood. I am usually a chicken with really bad veins, she took her time, looked for the right vein and put in that needle with no effort-no pain-no bruising. I have not had that experience in the USA. And then when it came to the Anesthesia, knowing a needle would go into my right hand, trust me, the anesthesiologist was so good!! I did not feel the needle go in, and once it was pulled out-NO Brusing. All that was on my hand was a tiny dot the size of a ball point pen marking. WOW. I loved the Hospital, I loved the post-op care. In the USA, do you ever remember having a team of doctors come into see you to see if you are doing OK, but they answered your questions, they were friendly and warm people. And the nurses were so attentive. And finally I was so impressed with HOW clean the hospital was. My room was attended to at least twice a day--I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel. Thank you Dr. Aceves and team. Kate
