My house has many cockroaches and I am made ill by sprays. Regards, Blake Cook's Earwig Bait, sold at Dixieline Lumber. White box (about 9X12 size) with blue writing. It is like sawdust, sprinkle behind furniture, refrig (behind and under). It has no odor and is nontoxic to humans (I think) and they take it to the nest and they all DIE. Belly up, sometimes 60 at a time. We cleared our yard of them and house when we moved in there were huge ones at night four at a time. Ugh. (they live outside - big ones - in CA). No more. Guest guest
Are they coming in form the outside? If so, Steve Tveden had suggested that you take duct tape turn it upside down and put it by the doors/opening. They get stuck on the tape, lift and toss. I took a screen put it around all the pipes under the sinks to prevent them from coming in that way. I haven't had any since. Guest guest
Yes! Get " Combat " ! It's the best there is to get rid of roaches. No sprays, no foams......just little black plastic majiggers you put around the house. You can set them in cabinets, on the floors, next to pet food dishes and they work 100%! And best of all......harmless to you and your pets! Guest guest
Combat is a poison anyway you look at it. I would never put anything like that near food, clothes etc. On Wed, 17 Nov 2004, Betsy wrote: > Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 22:15:45 -0600 > From: Betsy <westoo@...> > Reply- > > Subject: Re: [] Environmentally friendly cockroach removal. > > Yes! Guest guest
Blake, You can use Borax soap detergent. I've used this for years in my carpeting as a deodorizer and also it kills the cockroaches, fleas and their eggs. I have never had any problems with these little buggers since I have been using this. You can also spread a little bit in your cabinets and other places they may run. If you use it in your carpeting, I normally use it pretty heavily then taking a grass rake to get it into the carpeting itself. Leave the excess sit for a couple of days and then vaccum. My wife is chemically sensitive and has never had a reaction to this. Veterinarians have also mentioned the use of borax in local papers. Hope this helps, KC --- In , Blake Graham <blanket@t...> wrote: > > Dear list, > > Does anyone have an environmentally friendly and effective cockroach > removal idea? Guest guest
I once treated a beauty shop in a luxery apartment building for cockroaches.. I installed an ultrasonic transmitter and within a week they had all vacated and moved elswewhere.. Also for years the owner had been speading powered boric acid along the edges of the rooms and that was killing them but enough of them returned to startle the patrons sitting under dryers and at operating stations.. The ultrasonic proved an answer to ridding the premises.. I use a small plug in unit to rid the second floor of a house of silver fish. kenneth =============================== >From: Angel MCS <jap2bemc@...> >Reply- >Blake Graham <blanket@...> >CC: >Subject: Re: [] Environmentally friendly cockroach removal. >Date: Thu, 18 Nov 2004 03:50:20 +0000 (UTC) > > > > >Are they coming in form the outside?
