Guest guest
For the last couple of years, I've been a regular participant in taste tests for various products. I'll get an alert that there's going to be a test, I reply if I'm interested and am selected from a pool of others like me. Each test is usually worth around $20 (on a gift card tho') but it adds up if you can get several a month. The best I did was a chip taste test that lasted for about 9 months with, eventually, 3 sessions a week. Those were $10 each but over time, that *really* adds up. Turned out, that one was for comparing the seasonings from two different plants. But, I digress. ;o) Anyway, I was chosen for a test today. We never know what the product will be but after awhile, you can kinda guess from the questions they ask. This one they tried to be clever and asked about protein drinks and also chicken products. Since they have way more tests for protein/energy drinks than anything, I took a chance with this one. Well, it was for buffalo wings. Well, more clever me went prepared. I had a pocket full of napkins and a baggie and when I got the first sample and realized it was solid food, I took the tiniest bite off one piece (each sample was two wings), slipped the rest into the baggie, chewed the crap out of what was in my mouth then spit it out (the napkins, remember?). I walked out of there $20 richer, a baggie of hot wings for my Dad (who loves them) and without any cheating on my diet. Go me!! :oD I couldn't'a dun it a month ago. I'd'a caved and eaten the blasted things. I just kept thinking...each wing was worth about $2000 if I ate it 'cause that's what I figured I'd be blowing with the surgery. If I'm going to have a snack that costs that much, it darn well better be covered in gold and have diamond studs on it! Bwa-ha-ha-ha- ha-ha!!! in AR DOB 1/28/08 297/281/200 for now
