Guest guest
Hey my band family-Well, I thought I'd take a moment an offer an update on what's up my way. I'm afraid I have been sick, sick, sick the past three weeks. Started with bronchitis, turned into strep, found out I had a kidney infection along the way and ended with a complete unfill because my fill was too tight to digest meds, and then when the congestion became a factor, well, suffice it to say, I wasn't getting better but tighter and the more my body stressed, the more dehydrated I found myself. Anyway, after two hospital visits, three doctor visits, I finally went to a local lapband DR. who told me my stoma was seriously inflamed, and my band COULD slip if I didn't get an unfill and let the congestion drain, and thus the antibiotics take effect! So, I am fill-less for now but HEALING finally because my meds can get through and DIGEST!!!!! The good news is I am getting better and eating healthy and have now lost 75 pounds and I posted pics. Let me offer these words of encouragement to those of you who are outside of Dr. A's reach, as I am in Texas, do not waste your time with regular primary care physicians and ER docs who run CAT SCANS. They know little or nothing about the lapband and did NOTHING but delay my healing. GET THE TO A WLS DOC ASAP if your health becomes compromised. It was only my instinct (and prayer) that took me to a local WLS doc AFTER TWO supposed experts viewed my CAT scan results and said my band was " just fine " . Thank GOD I went to the real expert when I did. Anyhow, all is getting better NOW!!!! (One of them!)
