Guest guest
An adhesion is a type of scar tissue that forms between things and sticks them together - like between the stomach and addominal wall, or between the diaphragm and abdominal wall. They can be very painful, if things cannot move around normally, or if nerves are trapped in the adhesion or scar tissue. . There are physical therapists and that work specially on releasing adhesions, depending on where they are. Here is some more information: http://www.structuralenergetictherapy.com/scar_tissue1.htm If you're havijng a lot of pain, don't let your doctor simply say " It is an adhesion " and send you home, as if there is nothing that can be done. Sometimes, they also require a minor surgical release, where they go in and cut between the tissue to free it. . Guest guest
I'm pretty sure I have some adhesions that are causing me pain quite often during exercise. :-( Goodness knows I don't need another surgery. I've only had 2 since July already. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been considering the sleeve for several months but I am concerned about adhesions. Have any of you with the sleeve or gastric bypass had problems with these? I know several women who have problems with adhesions from different abdominal surgeries and they take over their lives. Not fun stuff. Let me know. Jenn from Canada
