New member-VSG Jan 8 in Mexicali

Hi everyone!

This is my first post on the board. I had lapband surgery April 08, the band

slipped, and I had it removed in an emergency surgery November 09. It was not a

good experience here in Phoenix.

After regaining 30 pounds, I knew I wanted to have the restriction again, but I

was a cash-pay patient, and couldn't afford the cost of the revision...even at

half the price.

I was nervous about going to Mexicali, but I can say with confidence that I made

the right decision. Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos, their staff, the hospital, hotel

and even the newer parts of Mexicali exceeded our expectations. I couldn't be

happier.

The nausea was the worst part for me, but that was gone in two days. It's only

one week later, and I've lost 10 pounds, feel almost back to normal, and I've

never had any pain to speak of...except from caffine withdrawal.

While I was there, I met Sally S. from NC, Priscilla from NH, from MO and

Heidi. It will be fun to follow each other's progress!
