Guest guest
Go with the whey protein if you have a choice. It's preferred over soy for muscle building and fat loss. Soy can raise estrogen levels and estrogen is a fat storage hormone. I've actually seen women here complain of nausea, bloating, weight gain, and breast tenderness after suddenly quadrupling their soy intake. It can do a number on your hormones. The isolated soy protein powders seem to be the issue though, not soy products like veggie burgers and soy milk. Anyway, I vote for the whey protein. :-) I prefer chocolate and I use that in recipes even if they call for vanilla. > Ok, I think I am going to buy my first can of protein powder this > week. Guest guest
Thanks . I'll pick up some Chocolate Whey Powder tomorrow then. I just hope this tastes better than the Myoplex. I've tried mixing it with everthing and can still taste that " vitamin taste " . Blahhh. > > Ok, I think I am going to buy my first can of protein powder this > > week. Guest guest
They're all going to have that vitamin taste to some degree. :-) One sneaky thing I've been doing lately is sprinkling a little Splenda in my protein shakes to make them sweeter. Guest guest
Hi, i am scheduled Oct 1st for the band and I am in the process of trying to get all my supplies ready. I have read from numerous posts that people like Isopure. I have looked it up and I am a little confused. Do you take the Isopure Powder or the clear beverage that come in a glass bottle? What are your favorite flavors? Is there another brand you prefer? I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Thanks for your help. jen
Guest guest
I use Isopure in the glass bottle. It is very sweet tasting so I dilute it with water. That works for me.I still get the needed protein and also get more water volume. Isopure is expensive but I prefer it to the powder just for the ease of it. I like all the flavors but the grape is one of my favorites. I know that several people don't like the Isopure, so before you load up, buy a single bottle of each brand you're familiar with and try it. I don't know if there are single sizes of the powder to taste test.Best of luck in your surgery and post op. Enjoy the travel and stay in Mexicali. Keep us posted on your inevitable success. From: jennorwood <JenNorwood@...>Subject: Protien Powder Date: Friday, September 5, 2008, 8:47 PM Hi, i am scheduled Oct 1st for the band and I am in the process of trying to get all my supplies ready.
