Thank you for your kind words. I am

feeling really good.

Congrats on making this decision for

yourself; you are not going to regret it. That is awesome you have

already lost 30lbs! Don’t you feel so much better? You are

very wise to get a fill in the next few weeks. Looking back, I feel I

made a mistake by waiting (on the insistence of my former US doctor) 4-5

months. But what is that saying….hindsight is 20/20.

And I know what you mean about the 240

range; before the surgery I didn’t think I was going to see below 300

again. And I remember thinking even if I lost just 100lbs, how much

better would I feel?

I am

just 6 weeks out but what hit close to home is our weights were about

the same.

I never

thought I'd get excited to weigh in the 240 range again but it seems like a

fantasy which is now possible with the help of my band and the A Team.

I am so thankful for this site and for Dr. Aceves and his team.

I went

out to a YMCA event yesterday and so many of the folks commented how they

could see the difference in me from losing just over 30 pounds. It was

great. My clothes are all baggy and I could go down a size now I think. I

refer to myself as the bag lady.

I go

back to Mexicali

for a fill in a few weeks but am thankful my band is still working fairly

well. I can see an increase in what I can eat but it's not a huge increase as

long as I don't let the head stuff win.

I just added my 15 month pictures.... sounds like baby pictures. lol

But in way it is a(re)birth of me, having this surgery.

For all who are just having this surgery I would highly recommend

taking photos as well as measurements. These tools will help when

sometime the mirror will fail.
