That is truly amazing.  You have come such a long way; no pun intended.  Congrats! On Sun, Jun 12, 2011 at 5:07 AM, Danae Steele <noheaecs@...> wrote:

Hi all.  Well, I ran my 10K yesterday (the Bellin Run, in Green Bay, WI, which is where I live).  It was great fun!  I came in 8567th place (!) out of 18,000+ runners and walkers, and did it in 1 hr 14 minutes, which translates into just under 12 minute miles. I'm pretty happy with that, considering that a year ago I wouldn't have been able to run even 1 mile, and that I'm short and 52 years old!!!.  I'm not sure that I want to try for any greater distance than that, but I'll certainly try for a better time next year...

Hey,

This is amazing! One year ago you would have never dreamed of doing this. I am so very proud of you and your accomplishments. Way to go. My son works for Nike at their World Wide Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. I have a shirt that I wear and it says "RUNNING SUCKS." As you can tell I am not a runner. I tell everyone who loves to run--go for it. When I see all of your runners smiling and enjoying yourself, then I may consider running, but up until then I will walk 4 or 5 days a week and do my new passion "Zumba"

You are doing a fabulous job.

Hugs,

Suzanne
