I got home yesterday from Mexicali and I am doing well. Loved Dr. Aceves and

Dr. Campos. Very nice men and I appreciated them coming to visit frequently.

They found a hiatal hernia during the surgery and repaired it so that should

help my reflux a lot. No nausea at all during my stay and the pain was very

tolerable with the meds. Yolanda was very nice and helpful and the Crown Plaza

was very nice the night before surgery.

I am a nurse so my only negative comment was that the nurses did not wash their

hands and rarely used gloves. The night nurses did not check in unless I called

for something and they spent their time on their computers on Facebook. I

realize that there is not much to do at night because I also work night shift,

but we are not allowed to be on our computers and Facebook at our hospital.

Just kind-of funny...

They also do not have popsicles at the hospital. It was funny trying to get the

nurses to understand our description of a popsicle...!

Otherwise, I could not have asked for a better experience. I am learning to use

my new sleeve and going slowly. I feel great and need to remind myself to take

it easy. This is post op day 4. I have no signs of needing to poop yet, so

that should be happening soon, I hope. Not much in there to come out...!
