Guest guest Posted March 17, 2008 Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my appt. with Dr. Campos last Wednesday :-( At work, my boss scheduled a mandatory meeting on Wednesday and I had to complete my revenue reports. One thing I learned, don't ditch the boss when he's got money on his mind or I'll have new employment on mine. However, I have good news. I had good restriction on Thursday and Friday because of pre-menstrual bloat, so that last fill must have done something? At least this tells me that there's nothing horrible going on in there if my band works on a rare occasion when it feels like it. I'm slowly starting to accept that I am just one of those people with a lazy lap-band. I'm still going to Mexicali soon to have it looked at, just to be safe In the meantime, I refuse to be deterred by a lazy band (done that long enough!). I've been putting up one helluva fight. I've been following the South Beach Diet religiously... it has been a month since sugar or white starch has crossed my lips. Even so South Beach doesn't require calorie counting, I still keep my calorie count between 950 - 1100. It's tough and sometimes life gets in the way (a friend's bbq, a night out on the town), but I exercise every day. I do a lot of kickboxing, rollerblading (with my Landrollers that are SO COOL!), and a few weeks ago started trail running. I find a steep hiking trail and instead of hiking it, I run it like a mad-woman! And I throw in weights twice a week.
