Guest guest
Could it be a fungal infection? Our son Hayden has had trouble with fungal infections on his feet for years. It gets around and under his nails and hurts a lot. We use a topical prescription to get rid of it, but it always comes back. Just a thought... Take care, Mom to Conner (12, NEMO/XHIM, asthma, Hashimoto's disease and resolved adrenal insufficiency), Hayden (12, unknown immune deficiency, IBS and moderate hearing loss/aided), Evan (12, unknown immune deficiency, asthma and mild hearing loss/unaided), and Kelsey - (10, unknown immune deficiency and asthma) Please visit us at www.caringbridge.org/in/connersmith
Guest guest
Maybe? It is worth looking into. The weird part is the sides of her feed and her big toe, not near the nails at all - but it could be two separate problems. Then do we start with the ped, podiatrist, or ?? I'll ask her ped what he thinks...thanks . mom to CVIDer kristinsmith <kristinsmith@...> wrote: Could it be a fungal infection? Guest guest
We took Marina to a dermatologist for an infection on her feet. She is my non-PID child. She is still under going tests for PID. The dermatologist had to culture the infection to find out what it was, and how to get rid of it. It took a long time to get it cleared. It was bacterial, not fungal. We still have no idea why or how she got it. They don't understand why it didn't clear easily. A culture and sensitivity is a great dx tool. Guest guest
Hi All, I had my surgery a week ago and yesterday I was cleaning and changing my gauze on my drain hole and noticed it has started to get pink around the hole. I am worried I have an infection already, if i do what do I do?? I have been cleaning it regularly since I got back. Tawnya
Guest guest
I just spoke with Dr. Campos and he told me to keep washing it out a few times a day and to use Neosporen, not to use peroxide.
Guest guest
Peroxide is really strong and it tends to burn off new tissue growth. In a hospital setting if we use peroxide it is usually diluted with sterile saline so it isn't as strong. On Sat, Apr 5, 2008 at 3:19 PM, Tawnya <trailerparkqueen_79@...> wrote: I just spoke with Dr. Campos and he told me to keep washing it out a few times a day and to use Neosporen, not to use peroxide.
