hi e; I don't know about the chat group but you're where you need to be to write your own emails and respond to what others write in. There is a lot of good information available through the people who write on this message board and you can ask questions and find out info and experiences from others who have gone through the weight loss surgery process and aftermath. I'm one who recommends Dr. Aceves and his crew and hospital without reservation but, as always, the more you know the better. Do your homework, ask questions, enjoy the adventure! Take care. Lois
