Guest guest
> Is this as in FLETCHER JONES? Yes. How did you know? But this dealership is run by West. Around here, it's known as " -Worst Ford " as I came to learn. They were utterly merciless. After I demonstrated that I really was having a visible reaction to the truck, they told me bluntly " That's your problem " . As Dr had noted, I was at such a low point that I really was very close to suicide. These people have no idea how close I was to taking them with me thanks to their sheer brutality. If the avoidance strategy hadn't worked - They were that close.... -

If the avoidance strategy hadn't worked - They were that close.... - I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm new to the group, also have MCS and grin...my husband works for a Chevy Dealership; always coming home with new demos. Took him a long time to understand why I cannot ride in his new demos and why I need my detoxed old car and if we have to go somewhere he has to be in my little old car rather than his top-of-line new demos. I asked him what his dealership would have done in your situation. He said by law as long as you did not take " delivery " of the truck meaning " drive " it you can backout of the contract. If the truck would have been driven, then no. What's so sad they do spray the " new car freshener " in all used vehicles during detail because that's what the customers want---the new car smell. He said no one would purchase a new vehicle if it didn't smell new. How sad the general public doesn't understand the multiple toxins they are inhaling. The few times I've needed service I had to beg him to not let a mechanic go near that has any fragrance on and let no one detail the inside regardless. Guest guest
As we have FLetcher JUNIOR here in vegas with a dreck load of dealerships. Everything from toyota to mercedes. My husband bought a car form one of the dealerships then we made the fatal mistake of buying mine from another one. When I did the test drive and decided on the car they were going to CLEAN it UP....neddless to say the salesman got a very loud and forceful you will NOT touch my car, you will NOT allow anyone in it to fill it up with gas etc. It did have the new car smell but it was the original not an enhanced new car smell. When I had to bring it in for the 30 day inital check up I refused a regular loaner car and demanded that they either provide me with a car that had not been treated eith febreeze/air freshener or else I wanted a new one. IF they did not like those options I would call their corporate offices who had dealt with me when we had a problem with my husbands car. Needless to say, they tried to say then I would have to do ewithout a loaner for 1-2 days. Corporate got a call heard my last name and immediately had the general manager of that dealership handle it. IT was handled...I got to literally use a car that still had tape on it from shipping. It was a lot easier to drive a car that was new than with air fresheners. You would THINK after that interaction they would have learned...but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I had a little glitch and was in with my service rep, he made notes about no one to use cologne who worked on the car, do not wash interior, only wash the outside and no vacumming. I go to get in my car after I checked out and I said to myself...that overdoused cologne better not be coming from the guy coming out of my car....well, as you can expect it was. I went in there raised hell like nobody's business. I had to have my husband come down to exchange cars, I lost my voice and was fit to be tied. After I regained my voice, the service advisor said they did not THINK that the valet had anything on. After going thru all the chains of command in the dealership then corporate and not getting what I considered an acceptable anwer, I called the cars headquarters and filed a major harassment, ada violation incompetent complant with the manufactuer. After lodging the complaint I get told by the manufactuer that the car is still under warranty and I can go to any outside company to work on it but they would NOT pay for it, it was either Fletcher or literally drive to CA, UT or AZ for service. It seems that the manufactuer called corporate Fletcher and they in turn have now agreed to provide me with a car (new) when I need service, they will put in writing no cologne etc...in bigger letters than before. As I told them, you stink up my car you are going to give me a BRAND NEW ONE at your expense, or I will be on the news about how you are trying to injure a disabled person. Now, they are bending over backwards as the letters ADA harassment carry a lot of weight apparently.
