Guest guest
Hello all my banded sisters (and brothers!). It has been one month and a couple of days since my band was placed and I feel wonderful. I am finally beginning to exercise (walked five miles yesterday and am so sore I am NOT walking today:) However, I do have a query for those ahead of me in the race; In the first three weeks or so, I lost about 17-19 pounds. Then I started on mushies...blenderized everything, laid off the ice cream but doubled up on the protein via the real food (tuna, eggs). Now the thing is, I haven't lost another pound. My caloric intake went from 600-800 calories a day to something like 1200-1500, but the exercise increased daily as well. I have PB'ed a few times (4-5), and have actually thrown up twice (only after on mushies/and then in the last few days on solids again). I attribute most of it to learning how to eat, and eat slow. However, this is not a constant, nor concerning issue, but it has happened. Sooo I was wondering two things...FIRST> how much weight is normal to lose before your first fill (I have my fill scheduled for May 31st with Dr. A) and did you plateau after you went back to somewhat real food and then real food? LOVE THOSE HIGH CALORIE SOUPS! SECOND, if your band slips, you have some sign right? I have been reading so many OMG MY BAND SLIPPED posts, that for no other reason than I have read these posts, I'm like.......has my band slipped and I just haven't even one physical symptom? I know, neurotic and simple, but the band thing, is so easy for me......no oozing sutures, all healed already, no real issues with food, save bread/soda/lettuce, and I'm just wondering....can it be this good and easy and then again, when will I start losing again?
