Guest guest
Does anyone know if I could wrap antiques in plastic or something to protect myself from possible toxins coming from them. I'm afraid they are too valuable to pitch out. I will look for antique dealer. There are alot of them. I checked into storage lockers but I can't find anything lower than $50 a month to store and that is too much for me right now with all the other health care expenses I have had. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Do you have a friend with a garage who might be willing to help you out? Wrapping them in plastic sounds toxic too...and doesn't seem like it would be all that effective, and not at all good for the furniture, but I'm certainly no expert. It seems best to get away from them if possible. (But don't listen to me, as I had to pitch most of my stuff out and then gave a lot to charity...) If nothing else, can you at least keep your windows open or move them all to one or two rooms and close the doors until you get someone to pick them up? Another thought is you could do consignment or possibly call in an estate sale person or just do an open house sale. Put an ad in the paper. But don't be there alone. Have friends over. Call all dealers in your town and have them come at one day at one time and then let them make written offers and the best offer wins.at the end of the time period of say 7:00 - noon. I've a friend who did estate sales for years, so these ideas are just off the top. Hope this helps.
