Families Outraged Over Mold-Infested Home

Fri Nov 5, 6:20 PM ET

A Felicity family is fighting a battle with dangerous mold in their apartment,

WLWT News 5's Courtis Fuller reported. Now they want to know what their

managment company is going to do about it.

The Wayside Court apartment complex is rundown. The tenants complain about their

mold-infested apartments, and that's just the beginning. The apartments have

light fixtures hanging off the wall and leaking ceilings.

has lived in the complex for seven years and said she complained

about the problems to the landlord, TCA Management. Shortly after her

complaints, she said she received an eviction notice.

" It's a bad situation, " said. " It's become a real problem. "

News 5 tried to contact the management company to discuss the issue. A

representative from the company said the problem is being addressed. They said a

contractor was hired to assess the problem and someone will attend to the

problem.

Residents said there are only five apartments currently occupied.

A local company offers a home allergy kit that can test for allergens and mold

in your home by using your vacuum cleaner. Call (800) 763-4663 to order the home

test kit.
