I had a printer/copier (HP) that when opened, the whole thing also " stunk of

mold " ....no signs of damage anywhere in the packaging, the printer itself

Also, my car had a mold problem in the HVAC duct work, had it professionally

cleaned and 'sanitized', cost about $100. In order to replace it, the cost

would be 600!. The problem returned within weeks. No guarantee from the

service. Mfr wouldn't touch it - 'out of warranty'.

Currently, my new car bought in Sept 04 is offgasing what to me smells like

formaldahyde...been wnating to sample it... if i do, i'll let you know.
