Guest guest
I believe you, ! Can't even be around stuff we had remediated. Don't bother anyone, cuz if you thought you were sick before, you'll become sicker after you get the supposedly clean stuff back. Most remediators I spoke with didn't know their you know what from a hole in the ground. Perhaps not on purpose. Hey, if they clean stuff with their hep vacs, and they don't get sick, then why should we upon reexposure? lol! Yeah, right! One company I talked to said they'd not remediate anything they could put through a dishwasher twice and/or launder in hot water twice with Borax as I'd just get ill. Now, I already knew that, but this company gave me hope that there are honest ones out there with the correct info for the hypersensitive. Now, they said if I weren't hypersensitive, they might be able to save a few things. Also, to the woman wishing to put plastic on her antiques, here is something I just thought of: HAVE YOU HAD THEM TESTED TO MAKE SURE NOTHING YOU'D BE PASSING ON IS DEADLY TOXIC? take care all and happy new year--Jaybird ----- Original Message ----- From: erik_johnson_96140<mailto:erikj6@...> <mailto: > Sent: Sunday, December 26, 2004 12:44 PM Subject: [] Re: Wrapping antiques up No, it doesn't work. Of course nobody believes me so I recommend that you simply test the concept for yourself. Take a contaminated article to an outdoor location that feels " safe " . Wash your hands. While walking into the wind, put the test sample in a watertight plastic bag - taking care not to cross contaminate the outside of the bag. Wash this plastic bag and then repeat the process by putting the " remediated " bag into another plastic bag. Seal the seams with tape. Wash everything. This is the process remediologists use for sealing samples inside petri dishes that are to be sent for mold identification. Take your " sealed " sample to your safe location and see if it makes a relative change in your symptoms. Now you know for yourself, with no need to take anyones word for it. - FAIR USE NOTICE: This site contains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
