recently,MAMAN has Concluded the activities of the media campaign , launched in the period from September 2010 to February 2011,Which was under the slogan ( Khartoum free of weapons and violence) The presence of a large rally honored of of Khartoum State Governer ,the sponsor of the campaign and many of the leaders in the police and security institutions and those concerns of the community issues . the conclusion program included a detailed presentation on the activities that has conducted through the campaign (training workshops,lectures and media advertisings) which contained messages about the risks of weabons and armed violence,also a short cut models of the theatrical and musical offers which has accompanied the campaign has shown . experts and those who intrested in the security issues and arms control described that the Campaign is successful as the following results has observed :1-law rate of armed violence in the capital Khartoum particular during conducting the referndum2- a number of pieces of illegal weapons was handed over by some civilians to the competent authorities as a positive reaction for the awareness raising process 3-the republican interaction through the various communication modes and during the live broadcast of the interviews conducted with some of the perpetrators of the campaign.at the end of the final day program the governer has praised the efforts of the orgnization to ensure the successfull of the campaign and its adoption of responsibility to raise awareness about risks of arms and weapons and dissemination of concept of security among civilians. .
